Latina Cosplayer Lis Wonder transforms into the DC superhero Isis as she imagines what Isis would have looked like in the DCU film Black Adam.
Lis Wonder has imagined what the Black Adam character Adrianna Tomaz might appear like in the DCU film as her super-powered alter-ego, Isis.

The Latina cosplayer recently shared some photos of herself in a comics-accurate Isis on Twitter. “I loved #BlackAdam, the JSA… I want to discover more!” I need Isis! Wonder was added to the photos. “This cosplay was such a fun project. I love my [Berserker Customs] custom-made 3D Isis jewelry!” Isis is the human counterpart to Adrianna Tomaz was played by Sarah Shahi in Black Adam and this rendition of the character portrayed as an archaeologist as well as a resistance fighter in Intergang-controlled Kahndaq.

Adrianna Tomaz was first seen in DC Comics’ 52#3 (May 2006). She is an imprisoned Egyptian refugee brought to Black Adam by Intergang. Adrianna was able to change the view of the powerful antihero by being with him for a while, allowing him to be freed. To show his appreciation, Black Adam retrieved the Amulet of Isis and had Captain Marvel (now known as Shazam) transfer its power to Adrianna, giving her the power to control the various aspects of the natural world. While Black Adam was Adrianna’s debut live-action feature, the character and its superhero counterpart Captain Marvel (now known as Shazam) was previously played by Erica Cerra and Tala Ashe DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.
Black Adam Characters may be Featured in Spinoff Films
While Shahi’s Adrianna Tomaz is still powerless within DCU, Black Adam star and producer Dwayne John spoke of the possibility of spinoff films that will depict the transformation of Tomaz into Isis. Johnson stated that “We have some thoughts about the characters that people will react to in Black Adam” in August 2022. The other Black Adam characters who might be given solo films include Hawkman, Doctor Fate, and Atom Smasher. Cyclone also appeared in the film as Justice Society member.

A sequel is currently in early development as well as plans for a Black Adam vs. Superman film The latter will see Johnson’s antihero battle Henry Cavill’s Man of Steel. But, it is unlikely for fans to witness the two DC heroes clash anytime soon since Johnson recently admitted that they’ve got “a lot of long-term storytelling to be done before that historic DCEU showdown and more new characters to create [before the Black Adam/Superman fight].”
Black Adam currently plays in theaters.
