Is Gal Gadot Remaining in the DCU?
Despite her appearance in Shazam! The Fury of the Gods, Gadot’s future in the DC Universe remains unclear. The idea of making another Wonder Woman movie was initially planned for her, however it was canceled due to the fact that James Gunn and Peter Safran were named the new heads of DC Studios. Despite the DC change in leadership, Gunn stated that Gadot was not “booted” from the iconic DC role. Gunn hasn’t yet said whether he will bring back Gadot in the role of Wonder Woman for future DCU projects.
The uncertainty surrounding Gadot’s next chapter in the role of Wonder Woman has led some fans to suggest that Ana de Armas ( Knives Out, No Time to Die, Ghosted) succeed Gadot as Wonder Woman. De Armas claimed in an interview that Gadot did a great job in her role as Wonder Woman and that she believes “she should continue doing that.” Gunn is yet to reveal the plans he has for Wonder Woman apart from a Game of Thrones fashion prequel set in Themyscira before Diana Prince’s birth.
