Susie’s Creations Cosplay Susie Creates Cosplay, a favorite costumer, recently revealed a new version of her Wonder Woman outfit. The updated look was inspired by the live-action Wonder Woman 1970s show starring Lynda Carton.

“Just want to pop up and say Hi! Susie Creates posted on Twitter: “I still love my Lynda Wondery. I haven’t worn her in ages.” The accompanying image shows the cosplayer in an amazingly accurate costume, complete with Wonder Woman’s Lasso of Truth and bracelets. Susie Creates uploaded a video that “went kinda popular on IG,” stating the primary goal of the post was to “show my new and accurate boot.”

Wonder Woman (also known as The New Adventures of Wonder Woman) was broadcast on ABC and CBS for three seasons from 1975 to 1978. The Wonder Woman series is about the character of Diana Prince/Wonder Woman who follows Steve Trevor back to 1940s America when he gets stuck on Paradise Island. Later, she decides to stay in America and fight the criminals. The third and second seasons brought the action to the then-present-day 1970s with Waggoner now playing Trevor’s son, Steve Trevor Jr. Cathy Lee Crosby is the first actress to play Wonder Woman live-action in the 1974 television film Wonder Woman. But, Carter remained as the most viewed version of the DC hero until Gal Gadot stepped up for the role of DC Extended Universe.

Wonder Woman in Film

After a series of unsuccessful attempts at bringing Wonder Woman to the big screen, the fan-favorite Amazon was finally introduced in Zack Snyder’s 2016 superhero film Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, portrayed by Gadot. Gadot reprised her character in 2017’s Wonder Woman, which received a plethora of praise from critics as well as a huge box-office success. Gadot also portrayed Wonder Woman, the DC superhero in Justice League (2017) and Wonder Woman 1984 (2020), which included a cameo in the middle of the credits from Carter as the great Amazon fighter Asteria. Gadot’s sixth, and perhaps final, appearance as Wonder Woman was in Shazam! Fury of the Gods (2023) in which Wonder Woman interacting with the Shazam Family for the first time in the DCEU.

Is Gal Gadot Remaining in the DCU?

Despite her appearance in Shazam! The Fury of the Gods, Gadot’s future in the DC Universe remains unclear. The idea of making another Wonder Woman movie was initially planned for her, however it was canceled due to the fact that James Gunn and Peter Safran were named the new heads of DC Studios. Despite the DC change in leadership, Gunn stated that Gadot was not “booted” from the iconic DC role. Gunn hasn’t yet said whether he will bring back Gadot in the role of Wonder Woman for future DCU projects.

The uncertainty surrounding Gadot’s next chapter in the role of Wonder Woman has led some fans to suggest that Ana de Armas ( Knives OutNo Time to DieGhosted) succeed Gadot as Wonder Woman. De Armas claimed in an interview that Gadot did a great job in her role as Wonder Woman and that she believes “she should continue doing that.” Gunn is yet to reveal the plans he has for Wonder Woman apart from a Game of Thrones fashion prequel set in Themyscira before Diana Prince’s birth.
